Red-Hot and Royal and oh yeah!

I started August with Red-Hot and Royal.

Photobucket

There're three couples in it, and my fav prince? Zain. Aww, Zain is soo sweet, he just can't get enough of Lauren. No auspicious date for wedding? Well, FIND one! ☺ Love the whole book. It's so modern and fairytale-ish.

Have I mentioned that I have all of Susanna Carr's books?

In my Mail.. Valentine's Day Wishes!

From Susanna Carr. ☺ It's a postcard:

The Postcard!

Hmm, I was confused by that white strip at the bottom. I think it's some thing used by the post office. Anyway, it's easily removed, leaves no sticky residue, so here:

Pretty.

The message.

^ For anyone who wants to read it.

Stolen the below cover from Susanna Carr's website:

Woooo knee-high boots!

Absolutely gorgeous! I've always wanted to have sexy knee-high boots, but everytime I think of the hot weather in my country, I have second thoughts buying it. I still crave them sometimes though. Should I get them?

The Year of Living Shamelessly is an October 2009 release. Maybe that should be my deadline to buy myself a pair of sexy knee-high boots. Maybe.

Pre-order the book at Amazon here.

Being single, I'm not big on Valentine's Day. But still I think it's no harm wishing couples out there a happy Valentine's Day. Wish you all happy-ever-afters!

Oh yeah. Happy New Year!

I'm been taking a break (2 weeks?) from reading to play my much neglected video games. I'm a video games bitch too but not so much as a romance novel bitch I think. Anyway, it's 2009 and I guess the new year is a good time to start afresh, do something new, and change bad habits etc..

What I hoped for the new year is to only read good books. Only read books that I will like. But can one only read books they only like? How would you know you would like a book when you haven't read it?

Love Letters from a Duke Blah blah. I'm not really back on the reading track yet, I'm still in a play-video-games mood (playing Resistance 2 for the Sony PS3 if anyone is interested to know). But I'm really looking forward to reading Elizabeth Boyle's Love Letters from a Duke, which has a nice review at Rip My Bodice. Actually I started on it a little, but got sidetracked by video games.

Anyway again, my purpose of starting this post is to say I've got a nice end to 2008, with me winning free (free! free!) books from author's blogs, and the even better part is that I already love those authors whom I received free (free! free!) books from: Karen Kelley, Susanna Carr, & Sasha White, whose books I've just received. And Meljean Brook too, but she wasn't my favourite author yet when I won the anthology First Blood. And an honorable mention to Lucinda Betts for sending me Moon Shadow (my first free book) back in 2007. ♥ ♥ Thank you thank you thank you.

I got My Prerogative (yea I know I've got the eBook format already but-) and Sexy Devil on the 30th of Dec '08 (an almost 2 months wait!) , and thought WOW. What a way to start my new year. Thanks Ms White! I'd post photos like I did with the other free books I've got, as soon as I can stop thinking about Resistance 2..

In my Mail.. OMG!

This post is overdue. All my fault.

The Wrong Bride by Susanna Carr ♥

First page of The Wrong Bride ♥

I won The Wrong Bride over at Susanna Carr's blog. That was a really hard to find book. None at used-book stores, and it's out of print at Amazon. It had been horrible! But thanks to the contest, now I own it I got it oh yeah oh yeah yeah yeah.

It's delivered by Leena Hyat of Author Sound Relations. Thank you!

Namecard and short letter from Author Sound Relations

Envelope.

I think I spent about 15 mins carefully opening the very well-sealed envelope.

There's also a brochure for Jenesi Ash (A pen name for Susanna Carr). It features Swap (which I have in eBook format) and Chain Reaction (which I don't have).

Not into swapping, but can't resist this.

I luuuuvvve this cover.I got my hands on this solely because of the cover (hot!) and the author (because of Susanna Carr actually, Jenesi Ash is her pseudonym.)

I'm not into everything else (threesome, bondage, woman-woman, toys etc.) other the normal lurving in my romances. But I really like how the characters grow to understand more about themselves and their partners because of this swap. I still don't really know Caleb (yeah I should re-read), but then to have someone cater to you without any complaints is really heaven. Jamie's got herself a saint. And Aidan? Oh, I ♥ Aidan. I adore his kind. Dominating and CARING. Wish I'm Mia.

* Sigh, I had hoped there was more at the end.

A side note, I love Susanna Carr's Lip Lock and Ex, Why, and Me very, very, very much. So here:

10 New Books!

The past friday, 29th June 2007, was the day when 2 major bookstores are offering discounts storewide. And it's also the day I made my record of buying the most books in a day.

Showing off what I got in the order I took from the shelves:
Oh Suite Fantasy!

I read her novella in Wildest Dreams. Loved it, wanted more, got this book, am very happy now.

Oh The Art Of Seduction!

The Art of Seduction by Katherine O'Neal

I was so happy to see The Art of Seduction! It's supposed to be out on Feb'07, so I expected to see the book on the shelves latest by April (it takes approx. 1-2 mths for books released in the states to reach major bookstores here in lil' Singapore), but I had to wait 4 months! Till end June. Begining July. Argh.

I saw this book a long time ago on the shelves, but didn't buy it because I wasn't into paranomals. But it's a different story now.

When I lay my fingers on this book, I was silently screaming in my head: "OMG! OMG! OMG!OH YES! OH YES! OMG! OH YES! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! OMG! OMG!" and so on.

Oh Bled Dry!

I love the cover art. I love Erin McCarthy's Vegas Vampires. The first two books in the series are already the best damn funny vampire books I've ever read.

Read the excerpt for this? It's so damn hilarious. Karen Kelly did mention on her blog quite some time ago that she may write about a dark vampire. I'm so looking forward to that!

Oh Bad Boys with Tatoos!

The title always gives me an image of a man in tuxedo holding a red rose (or a bouquet would be nice).

What She Craves!

It's a historial romance, not obvious from the sexy cover. Luckily I came across the sexy excerpt, if not I might not have wanted to buy this book yet. It's shrink-wrapped too. I wish all books on the stores are shrink-wrapped so I don't have to waste time scrutinizing all copies to find one that isn't destroyed by the rough-handling by inconsiderate browsers.

I saw Alluring Tales first (an anothology with Sylvia Day in it too), but I placed it back on the shelf after I spotted this book. Because I was really, really tired carrying 9 books in my hand by now. Alluring Tales can wait.

It's a sexy book with chocolates mentioned, why shouldn't I get this?

Lastly, my arms/hands/fingers hurt bad carrying 10 trade paperbacks home.

Girl's Best Friend.

I may be crazy about vampires at the moment, but I still remembered to pick up Susanna Carr's Pink Ice yesterday too. Did I mention I love pink?

The stunning pink diamond earrings are guaranteed to bring out the bombshell in every woman.

I love earrings, maybe I'd source out a similar one, so that I can feel like the heroines in the book. I can't get real pink diamond ones of course, normal pretty cheap pink crystals ones would do for me, I hope.

Talking about earrings, in Out of the Blue by JoAnn Ross, the heroine -- who is a famous singer with an ex-FBI hunk/professional sniper for a boyfriend -- bought herself christmas tree earrings in the first chapter. I'm actually currently sourcing out similar earrings so that I could pretend that I'm a famous singer with an ex-FBI hunk/professional sniper for a boyfriend too. ☺

Oh Pink Ice Pink Ice Pink Ice Pink Ice Pink Ice

I have a sudden urge to want to get my hands on Susanna Carr's Pink Ice now. I want I want I want I want I want!

*Sigh*

Is there a solution or a cure for one who seriously has too many books she wants to get her hands on all at once? Especially for one who lacks the time (to read), money (to buy) and bookshelf space (to house them all)? How can this pathetic girl with a want of almost 10+ books per month save herself from the frustration of not being able to hold and read the book she want to at any moment? ANY moment at all?

Oh nevermind.

Meet three beautiful sisters, a jewel thief, and the incredible pair of earrings that makes their hottest fantasies come true…

The stunning pink diamond earrings are guaranteed to bring out the bombshell in every woman. So Sabrina, Lindsay, and Nicole pool their cash and decide to share. Little do they know that these perfect baubles are going to make their previously tranquil lives utterly X-rated…

Read the fantastic excerpts here. I can always count on Susanna Carr to provide entertaining, one-of-a-kind, and even hilariously embarrassing situations involving the hero and heroine.
