Totally loved how it turned out!

You know, I'm prefer reading about the men doing more in going after their women...with the women being hard-to-get-blah-blah-blah.

But in this case I just love how Carrow time and time again kept implying that she wants Malkom forever and it's not just "use him" for now.

I also love how Carrow (& Ruby!) reacted after being traced to safety without Malkom with them.

I had hoped to read more, but with the kidnapping/war/what-ever-is-going-on, going on and all that.. I'm still satisfied with the short (too short to me) ending.

And a nice touch to see so many couples (Rydstrom! Nikolai! *swoonnnn*) from previous books making a brief appearance too.

I can't wait to read Lanthe's story and also when Malkom will be paid so that he can buy Carrow their dream home. :)

I'm halfway through Demon from the Dark by Kresley Cole, and one thing I can't stop worrying is when (if?) Carrow betrays Malkom and seeing how sensitive Malkom is to betrayals... *sigh.

Though happily ever after if guaranteed, I still won't like reading what I guess might happen. Hopefully it won't.

This reminded me of when Cade (Dark Desires After Dusk) handled over Holly to the bad guy. I know things are gonna turn out ok but can't he say to hell to whatever he has to do and then solve things rather then hand Holly over THEN solve things?

Ya know what I mean?

Now Carrow is somewhat like in Cade's shoes.

And I still haven't forgiven Cade though.

Gawd I have a long memory. Guys. Better not piss me off!

On another note, the sexiness I expected from Kresley Cole books did not disappoint one bit. I want Malkom to feed me too! :(

When Scotland is mentioned, I always think about kilts and whether men wear anything under them. But if we're talking about hot, sexy heroes of romance novels, I expect them to wear nothing.

And so I *heart* Lord Iain Randal, because he does what I expect.

Randal maybe born & bred English, but how can there not be no mention about him wearing a kilt?

Caitlin's eyes, along with the eyes of every lady present, were trained on the swing of his lordship's kilt. The breeze ruffled the hem a fraction, and a collective sigh went up. (...) The next blast of cold air did more than ruffle the hem of his lordship's kilt.

I just giggle everytime I read and re-read that part.

And yes I love Highland Fire, the romance and the little mystery thrown in it too.

Scarlet Angel by Elizabeth Thornton.

This book, the intro especially, is heavy on the history/war things. I don't recommend it for romance readers looking for a first taste of Elizabeth Thornton's romance. It definately does not start off light.

But when it's focusing on Cam and Gabrielle... ohh I love it.

The reason?

One of it:

"I've only ever loved one woman in my whole life, and that's you. Gabrielle, I love you."

And so much more.

I just love the fact that Cam and Gabrielle admit their love to each other VERY early on. In most romance novels, the I-love-yous came at the end, but in Elizabeth Thornton's books, you can expect it early. From the MAN.

It's really lovely reading those emotional I-love-yous, my favourite parts in Elizabeth Thornton's stories.

(ending spoilers ahead.)
The end is just wows me how much Gabrielle and Cam loved each other. Gabrielle not hating Cam at all upon learning how his ploting of revenge on her grandfather had caused her hurt during her childhood years. Yet she still apologies for her actions as innocent child. I didn't expect these. Thought she'd be freaked and will fight Cam again or something. But hey, she matured, realised how hurt Cam is and how much she love him. I just love how it all comes together. And Cam? Just gave up years of wanting revenge just for Gabrielle's happiness.

This is just why I love reading romances.

A Virtuous Lady by Elizabeth Thornton.

The thing with Hugh and and Briony (and Richard and Catherine and Gareth and Deirdre etc.), I don't think they will have an happily ever after like Disney's fairy tales.

With they way they kept baiting each other, intentionally hurting each other emotionally blah-blah-blah, I think they will continue to do so even after the story ends.

No amount of I-love-yous can stop that.

I'm not complaining about above, I'm actually looking forward to reading more verbal sparing scenes (though some makes me go oh Hugh... grow up!). And the making up later. ☺

Some of my fav lines from A Virtuous Lady:

In normal circumstances, he would never have given her a second glance, his Briony. He repeated the name under his breath. Even her name had the power to bewitch him.

I need to give myself an english name pronto. Oh wait, does 'Fancy' count?

"Listen to me Miss Briony Langland. The man you give yourself to will be me or you will give yourself to no man."

Be still my heart.

His longing for Briony had long since surpassed the mere physical desire to satiate his lust. He could not live without her. He wanted her to share his life. It was as simple as that.

Want.

"Good God, Briony, the fact that I have chosen to bind myself to one woman irrevocably should prove something to you!"

Oh yes. Good God, Briony.

And the whole part where they got caught in a storm and then Hugh was holding Briony and comforting her? All this thoughts then just wow-ed me. ♥

Bluestocking Bride by Elizabeth Thornton.

I was surprised when I first saw this book, Bluestocking Bride (and A Virtuous Lady too), because I didn't expect it to be so thin. Only 238 pages! Most of Elizabeth Thornton's later books are pretty thick with 300-400 pages and some with super small fonts.

I do like reading a good looong Elizabeth Thornton story.

After reading this, I realised why it's so short; there's no big mystery to be solved like the one in The Bride's Bodyguard or Shady Lady; two stories in which I was actually more interested in the mystery than the romance. Not that the romance is lacking, I just had been a big mystery fangirl before discovering romances... but I digress.

So we plainly have the romance (and loads of typical misunderstandings) here in Bluestocking Bride.

I never really liked misunderstandings and there are moments where I would love to slap both Catherine and Richard.

But then, Elizabeth Thornton's heroes ♥ are the kind whom I've always wanted to read about. Forceful? Well, they so dare to do whatever they want to own (yeah own, you got that right) the woman they want. They are seriously rare, and not everyone's favourite I guess.

"Catherine, one sigh of pleasure from you can bring me to heel."

^ Love that. Richard actually reveals quite alot of his feelings for Catherine and what she can do to him, but Catherine can be quite selective in her hearing sometimes.

And I do love those instances where Richard finds Catherine reading and always walks over to cast a shadow over her book to get her attention.

As for the ending, I like how Richard tells Catherine everything. They're not secrets, I don't think he kept them from her on purpose or what, he just didn't tell her, and that's stupid. But then, what is a romance novel without occasionally stupid heroes and heroines?

I just wish the ending would be longer. Like fifty more pages. Or ideally a hundred. Richard could grovel somemore. Catherine could have made him be jealous more. She lets him off too easily.

Overall, a satisfying read, since I got to read the kind of hero I like. ♥

Update:

"I promise you Catherine, my passion, my love will be invested in our marriage. There will be nothing left over for anyone else."

^ How can I not mention this line? And smack by the middle of the story too! Just love it when heroes declare their love early on in the book. ♥ ♥ ♥

Blood and Roses by Angela Knight.

Blood and Roses is a novella from Burning Up.

This is my first non-Mageverse story by Angela Knight.

Favourite part? When Raniero cradles Amaris when she lets him feed on her blood (she's a Blood Rose, whose blood strengthens vampires, i.e Raniero).

It's a small part in a really short story (62 pages), but it gets to me. I can't forget that even with those hot bonking going on.

I could just imagine that part in a full length novel. With them exploring their feelings during that moment...

Anyway, it's still a trademark Angela Knight hot story. A perfect one hour-plus read for me before bedtime.

But I can't wait for the next MAgeverse book ArgHH! Tristan!!!!

I think I prefer Elizabeth Thornton's older historicals, where the heroes are very, very, very, very x 1000 alpha. (Her later ones are only very x 100 alpha).

I've only read two of her older works, this and To Love An Earl, but I think my deduction is right.

Anyhoo, let me present the reason for this post:

♥♥ David Falconer, Earl of Dalmar ♥♥

And Annabelle too actually, I just LOVE how she fights back. But let me talk about David. Please.

(SPOILERS warning...)

"A child," he murmured, and his eyes, glittering with some new emotion, swept over her. "Don't worry about it," he soothed. "If you give me a whole brood of children, I'll welcome every one of them."

^ This, on page 56 in the 1990 edition. So early on in the book. I love that.

"You're mine. I'll never let you go."

^ Page 58. I can never be tired of reading this. He might be under a bit of laudanum but I believe he's 99% lucid.

And then there's chapter eight. Probably my favourite part. He's thinking about how magical (my words) Annabelle is, how he has never felt this way about anyone before etc. etc.

I don't know which part to quote, his whole thinking about what is going on between him and Annabelle is just awesome, a great pleasure to read. Elizabeth Thornton just rocks at writing. I re-read it before going on the next part, him meeting Annabelle and his son (awesome scene) and then him and Annabelle alone (awesome scene yet again).

"What exactly do you want?" she asked, eyeing him curiously.
"The usual. A home, a wife, a children -- a personal stake in the future, and someone to share it with. Is it so hard to understand?"

I know there's no love mentioned, but as a reader I know he's thinking of it because Annabelle made him think all above are possible. With her. Oh com'on, it's romantic already, how much he (albeit in his mind) admits Annabelle can do to him. ♥

And then when he himself accepted that it's over between Annabelle and him? Totally wretching. I like how Annabelle baited him and got him back though. ☺

I would really love more scenes at the end, but I suppose at 400+ pages, this book is looong already. But I don't think I would mind reading fifty or so more pages about them being happy.

Almost A Princess by Elizabeth Thornton.

I hardly tuck into a romance when I know that there's going to be a heavy amount of suspense/thriller etc. elements (unless it's Shannon Mckenna). I'd usually breeze through the non-romance parts if I'm not in the mood.

But Elizabeth Thornton? I just read everything.

Ever since I read To Love An Earl, I just feel like digging into her other books too, war, spies and all.

I can so take it. ☺

Because ultimately, the romance is seriously satisfying for me. In the mist of all the impossibilities.

Oh Case.

(SPOILERS warning...)

One of my favourite scenes is when Case and Jane and her AWESOME dog, Lance (short for Lancelot) went out in the dark and cold to look for her housekeeper's young grandson.

I do so love how Case threatens answers out of a bad guy:

"I'll ask you again," he said, "and if I don't like the answer, I'm going to break your arm. Where is the boy?"

All for Jane right?

Andandandand later in the story how Case shows his love for Jane:

"I'm saying that if you go back to Campbell, I'll come after you. I mean it, Jane. And if you run away and go into hiding again, I'll find you and chain you to my side."

Plus:

"When I came here tonight, I didn't know, I didn't understand. I thought you'd deliberately led me on knowing that I could never have you. I was crazy with jealously, and my pride, of course, was cut to shreds."

And so much darn more.

I took so long to blog this because when I browse through the book for tidbits of Case that I love, I tend to continue reading. And reading.

I just love this whole book. Case, Jane, Lance, the mysteries and all. ♥

It's just heartbreaking reading some of the words that came out of Derek's mouth.

The "I love you" is usually the most memorable for me, but for Derek I just can't seem to forget his "I will forget you" line. I kept thinking back to this part as I was reading the book. I just want to hold him and say everything is gonna be fine! Just go love Sara! ☺

Wow.

I've always wanted to read something like this. A hero who wants a woman so much that he plans her downfall and resorts to blackmail to get her to rely on him.

If all else fails, bed her to force her hand in marriage.

And if that fails too, blackmail again. With her brother's life at stake.

Wow, really.

You know how Rathbourne's and Deirdre's relationship is like?

Man wants Woman. Woman submits. Man satisfied. Woman upsets (understatement) Man. Man is disappointed (understatement) and doesn't not want to care about her anymore. Time passes. Man wants Woman. Woman fights Man off. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Is there a HEA? To my interpretation not really... at least not the kind of HEA in the other romances that I've read.

The ending (not really a spoiler here) of course has them together, but I feel that the story is still on-going. I was ready to read another scene with Rathbourne being devastated by the actions of Deirdre, wants her to leave, and THEN after a while blackmailing her to be back with him again.

I'm kinda used to that once I got to the end.

Rathbourne is just obsessed with the fact that Deirdre still does not put him as number one in her life. He will never seem to accept that fact Deirdre will forever pamper her brother. If they don't resolve this, I doubt they'll get a HEA.

So I bet there's still going to be lots of drama in their life.

All those above? It does sound annoying the way I put it, but I love. ♥ I've really, really enjoyed the book.

Only in this book I suppose.

There's this part where Rathbourne leaves for war... Now I just really dislike parts where the H/h are not together. Because it's boring.

I read romance novel for the romance.

But in this book? I actually continued reading. Without skipping a part. I would like to pat myself on the back for reading them, but I think I have to give credit to the writing. I really enjoyed it.

This story is long, and I actually wanted to read more. More scenes where they fight over stupid things again. :p

Oh the gun thingy at the end, a part of me thinks Rathbourne is just being ridiculous and thinks too much... like a woman. Another part of me thinks aww he loves her sooo much and really just wants to be her priority in everything!

I have really, never, read anything like this book. ♥

Lord Griffin and Lady Hero.

I just lack the ability to describe how much I love some books. Like for Elizabeth Hoyt's books. I always read other blogger's reviews and nod my head in a agreement with what they say.

How can you not love how Griffin loves Hero so much that he wants to throw away his life knowing he can't have her? ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

In their stituation, I was really wondering all the time how would it all worked out.

I'm glad Thomas got someone too. Everyone should have a HEA!

As for Silence, I feel so much for her when she appeared in Wicked Intentions, and I'm just so glad she stars in a romance novel and things WILL work out for her. Mary Darling is so cute. ♥

Rhyzkahl.

I just finished page 140 (end of Chapter 9) and wow.

I want Rhyzkahl.

I want him so much that I actually a read non-romance labelled murder mystery novel. (It's labelled as fantasy on this library book in my hand.)

NOT that I don't like the non-romance novels, I just have no mood for it. With my awful hectic lifestyle, I just want to read romance... happily ever after and all that.

*Sigh* I know, I know, this is not a romance novel.

And I don't like love triangles that's why I stay away from stories with more than one man in the heroine's love life.

But what I've googled about Rhyzkahl makes him soooo appealing that I couldn't resist bringing up my library catalog search in firefox and typing in 'Diana Rowland'. Viola. Her first two books are available at this library, the second closest to my home. I did this search at work, and so went straight to the library to borrow them after work. So I got 'Mark of the Demon' and 'Blood of the Demon'. And that night was the start of my ravishment of Rhyzkahl. ♥♥

Well, just that morning I found out about Rhyzkahl. In my google reader on my mobile, on the train ride to work. A BIG thank you to whoever blogged about him recently! Sorry I can't rember you because I was just scrolling l through my romance blogs feed. You guys seems to be part of one big happy romance blog. ☺

Anyway, how does one resist a demon LORD summoned just for sex? Okay, there's something more than sex I think, but I looove that 'summoned just for just sex' idea. (Don't you?)

Is there a romance novel with this premise?

If I remember correctly I've read something about Kresley Cole's smoke demon being summoned by a woman when reading Cadeon's (love the full name) story. Ah Cadeon my man! My first demon book ♥.

Now Rhyzkahl baby is just a romance reader's (well, at least mine) dream come through. Fine, I've only read three scenes about him, but I've cheated and browsed through this book and the second book for more of him. I can't resist!

And I loved what I've scanned through so far ♥♥♥.

I am SO in love.

I can't wait to get more of Rhyzkahl! Though I'd probably breeze through the murder mystery part (again, not that I don't like it, I just have no mood for it).

I want a Rhyzkahl in a pure romance novel please.

I don't know about Ryan, he only just appeared in what I've read so far. He is interesting though. Well he has to be right? Since he's supposed to be one of the main character.

The only thing that can make this right is that Ryan is Rhyzkahl in disguise so yeah HEA for Kara!

But not gonna happen.

Still, I've already made up my mind to continue reading about Rhyzkahl. It's still good writing ya know.

Her Surprise Hero by Abby Gaines.

The most boring part of the book:
Chapter One. Only Cynthia and no Ethan.

When did the excitement pick up for me:
Chapter Two. When Ethan appeared. Wait, it's more like that the end of Chapter One, when we first hear (read, whatever) Ethan speak.

I'm not saying Cynthia is boring, it's just that what I read this book (and other romances for) is the hero and heroine. Together.

If the books starts out with Ethan only, it'd be boring for me too.

With that said, I love how they met.☺

I just love every moment they're together. All those scenes, conversations, I'm sooo glad Abby Gaines writes normal stories (I meant no saving-the-world, escaping-from-psychopaths thingies). Hmm I prefer her NASCARS though. But anything she writes, I read. All thanks to a free eBook once upon a time at Books On Board.

Favourite part:
When Ethan and Cynthia are both in the closet at the end. ♥

Mentionable:
Cynthia's judging of competitions.

When Ethan got Cynthia the job of judging competitions at the fair (to enable her to met people blah blah blah), I was like, I thought I read something like this before... Sabrina! Haha pumpkins!

Oh the memories...

A page was bookmarked for this sentence:
"The silence in the courtroom was complete, he could have heard an onion growing."

So that I can re-read it laugh.

But you have to read the book for it to be even funnier.

Mail-Order Groom by Lisa Plumley .

Lisa Plumley's heroes seems to have this trait-- they're totally caught off guard when the heroine's smile and their attention is fully directed at them. So cute. ☺

What I love about this book is how Adam is smitten with Savannah. It's cute how she pampers him when he's injured, and the patting down the napkin on his lap hahaha and just when they're together. I've always love reading lots of hero & heroine time. I just breezed through all the bad guys part :p

The Millionaire's Nanny Arrangement by Linda Goodnight.

My face is sooo wet after reading this! My tears are just drying as I boot up my PC to start on this post..

What do I love about it? How Ryan and Kelsey fell in love. Those situations when they're together, just FALLING in love. ♥

And everything about Kelsey and Ryan's daughter, Mariah too.

You know, it's really the whole book. ♥

A supersuccessful businessman, the only thing Ryan Storm can't quite get a handle on is his daughter, Mariah. All she really wants is a mom. So he hires the next best thing…. Pregnant, widowed Kelsey Mason isn't Ryan's idea of the perfect nanny, but little Mariah bonds with her straightaway.

A first chapter except at Amazon. Read it! I love how all three main characters (yes Ryan's daughter is a main character) are introduced. ☺

I think it's around the part where they got some important news for Kelsey, my tears just started to flow non-stop.

And I love Kelsey's line about how a woman without chocolate is dangerous. ☺ So just leave us to eat more of it please.

This morning I woke up, and always the first thing I do is to check my emails on my mobile, and today has got to be one of the BEST mornings EVER.

I got a newsletter from Elizabeth Hoyt and the only thing I saw on it an epilogue for Melisande and Jasper... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMGGGGGG!!!!!

I love them I love them I love them so much they're my favourite in the Legend of Four Soldiers series. And to read more about them is just... is just... I could just cry.

Can there be more? Please?

Damn!

I still think back to the time when I first discover the greatness of ebooks, how I found this site call Books on Board, and that one of the ebooks they offer free (FREE!) then was a novella by Abby Gaines, The Natural, starring Danny Cruise.

I still remember I read this story during a time when I was pretty down, and surprisingly, I enjoyed it! It's seriously not easy for me to like reading any thing when I'm in a sad mood (but sometimes I torture myself). Thus The Natural got stuck in my head, and I began to check out other books by Abby Gaines...

I almost read them all ya know.

Those darn out-of-print books are hard to find :(

The Comeback didn't not disappoint (will her books ever?). It contains all those trademark Abby Gaines smart conversations and funny situations, and of course, past characters. Damn I love it!

I don't know if I should consider this a favourite part, but when Zack suddenly blurts out "I love you" to Gaby at the wrong moment, it's just, well in a way I like how spontaneous it is, though still seriously bad timing. And Gaby just have to reject him (awww *tears* but serves you right Zack).

Then the ending with Gaby looking for Zack and Zack looking for Gaby makes up for everything. ☺

The number of times Sandra appears in this story so makes me want to go back and read her story again. I can never forget the six-foot-four gorilla part. ☺

I love Karen Kelley's books. I thought they're perfect if you just need to smile, have a good laugh, and get some sexy reading. ♥

Nothing too emotional to weight you down too.

It's kinda hard to stop reading this book, I love reading every moment when Nikki is roughing it at the homestead, and can't wait to know what Cal is making her do next.☺

Despite those.. unbelievable situations, Nikki is tough. Many times she made me think, hey, I should adopt this the we-can-do-it! attitude :P

But I wouldn't want to be called a barracuda. They're ugly.

Bessie 1 & 2 hahaha.

I want to hook Cal's butt too.

And that poor, poor rooster. ☺

This is what I've been waiting for, my absolute favorite kind of storyline!

Those one night of passion -> hero finds heroine after two years ->hero finds out he has a little daugther from za one night of passion -> I don't love you I only want what's best for my baby -> I love you marry me --kind. ☺

Favorite part is when Rico lets Gypsy drove off with Lola. And everything that comes after. The ending! I read Abby Green for those heart wenching and just perfect endings. Love them!

I totally liked the fact Rico admits early on that he regretted leaving Gypsy after their night of passion. But Gyspy just has to be deaf then. Huh, I could have made use of that revelation somehow..

And here're actually not much misunderstandings. I don't know if I should complain about this; I don't really like reading them.. much (some just makes me want to slap the characters) BUT they do lead to seriously long grovelling speeches which I luuvvve.

Rant aside, damn I love this book. Want more like this. Please?

Time is not what I have for the past month. Reading has sadly been very slow for me :(

I needed a book which I can read slowly. Simple. Fun. Cute. Not tooooo emotionally draining. I don't mind shedding a bit of tears though. But not too much.. I can't take too much.

So Christie Ridgway is out.

Then I have Lisa Plumley's Home for the Holidays.

Reno, the main hero, the go-to guy, ♥. And Nate, the secondary character, the fudge maker, ♥.

My favorite moment with Reno and Rachel, is the part where he got Rachel over his shoulder. Every about it. Butt-pinching included.

Nate and Angela? Aww. I already liked their story alot, and the fudge moment is just so aww. I wanted to hug Nate and tell him everything is gonna be all right.

You know, I get annoyed when I was reading about Reno and Rachel, then suddenly the next chapter is about Nate and Angela. THEN I get annoyed when Nate and Angela's story is interrupted by another chapter of Reno and Rachel.

Haha. I really liked both couple's story.

And living in my kind of world, it's really nice to read about a place with all nice people. Really nice.

So glad I picked up this book.

Falling for April by Lisa Plumley.

The book actually started out too slow for me. It's seems like ages before Ryan & April actually meet. But remembering the cute moments in Making Over Mike, I persevered.

I just love how Ryan thinks around April. Thinks OF April.

The wow April campaign? Awww.

That little league double date? Haha I like Mark & Jamie!

A pickup with bows and balloons? Be still my heart. I think this is my favourite part.

And I thought Ryan sounded desperate when he mentioned that with a phone call he can whisk them both away to some luxury resort. ☺

And the BBQ moments.

Overall, it's a great feel-good, cute read for me. ♥

I love all those phone calls!

No, I've not read anything like it.

As much as I want Turner & John to meet face to face soon, a part of me still hopes that they continue to communicate by cell phone only. I really love all those parts. While reading, I had wondered if the whole book is only going be like that for them, and that they only meet each other face to face at the very end. Which would suck actually. But nah, it didn't happen like I wondered.

I still love how they eventually meet though. Dumb luck. ☺

And points for John for the handcuff idea.

I love Squeaky's presence too.

Have to admit, having a bad memory, I was trying to figure out if Dante Torelli is the hero of For the Love of Pete (which I read back in October last year according to my reading record). And yup, he's him alright. Feel like reading that book again. ☺

If I had to pick which one (between For the Love of Pete & Hot) I like more, it probably will be Hot. It's the phone calls. ♥ Can't resist them!

And the book is hot too. And not just because of the title and weather in the story. ☺

There're times when I read a great book, I really wish I'm eloquent. So that I can also put down in words how much I love it.

I just so enjoyed every moment of Lord Caire & Temperance together.

Just love the whole thing.

My first favorite scene: When Lord Caire first broke into Temperance's foundling home. ♥

And the first lines of the story (page 2) that just reminds me why I love Elizabeth Hoyt's writing:

"It's ghostlike if he's the dead spirit of a harlequin player come back to haunt the living."

"For bad reviews?"

Have I mentioned before that I love Abby Green's endings?

The part where the hero gave his grovelling speech. It's not just a simple, I'm sorry, I love you, marry me. It just goes on and on and on, and seriously, impressed me all the time.

Favorite part other than the ending? When Iseult wants to leave Nadim. And when Nadim says, "You won't even stay for Devil's Kiss?" Gawd, it's no imagination Iseult, this line reeks so much of desperation. Love it. ♥

My complain? Too short. Including the grovelling speech. Not enough misunderstandings (wait, I'm complaining about this?). I just feel that more misunderstandings would lead to a longer grovelling speech...

And I can't wait for Jamilah & Salman's book. ♥

Montana Born: The Marriage Maker by Christie Ridgway.

I'm just very lucky to have come across Montana Born, during my nowadays-extremely-rare trips to the second-hand bookstore. One of the story, The Marriage Marker (which I just read), is by Christie Ridgway (yes, as if I need more of her in my TBR), and the other is by Robin Wells.

Some of my favorite and mentionable scenes in The Marriage Maker:

The hospital scene duh.

Every scene with Cleo kissing another man. Four of them? Or is it five? I lost count. I love Ethan's reaction ahHahahah.

Cleo revealing she can't cook.

Ethan revealing that he can.

And the ending where Cleo threw herself at Ethan.

And Jonah. I like how his presence and smile makes Cleo and Ethan important/happy, you know.

I miss reading about babies.

Kincaid? Hey, do they have anything to do with Rory Kincaid from This Perfect Kiss (my first book by Christie Ridgway)? Sigh, I love that book. Blew me away. Made Christie Ridgway a must buy.

Smoke.

And the page after the end of the story, which reminded me that the next book in this serie is call Master of Smoke.

Oh my goodness. Where do I start? The ending?

I just can't believe I almost forgot how overwhelming Abby Green's endings are. I think I shed more tears than the heroine.

Basically, I find the beginning of the story, cold. Not exactly my favourite theme (cold, unfeeling, arranged marriage), but I just know it will pick up somewhere.

Then bam. The part where Rafael and Isobel were labelled as bleeding hearts? It's like Christmas.

I thought it's the part where the story thawed. ♥

The part where Isobel did a hundred and eighty degree change and tried to be the trophy wife that Rafael had wanted at the beginning? And the acrylic nails thingy? That's it.

The milonga? It.

Then the ending? The I-love-yous and all that? Damn. ♥

I love Abby Green. She just writes the most satisfying endings ever.

I should remember, if I have to work the next day, I should NOT be reading anything tonight. Because I would have a really lousy next-day. Unless the book is really lousy.

But it's not, so I had a lousy morning today.

Anyway, Her So-Called Fiancé was my next Abby Gaines book, prompted by the fact that there's abit of Tyler of Bethany from The Diaper Diaries.

Again, I stand by my fantastical idea that I should read an Abby Gaines book every week. Provided that that dear author can write 52 books year.

Favourite parts? Hmm, those thigh jokes. Sabrina being imperfect (like not thinking before she talk). Lying about Jake being her fiancé; and Jake's reaction when he found out. And Tammy! And-

Basically, I kinda smiled throughout reading this book.

This book is not perfect, like I thought Jake and Sabrina needed alot more scenes before they get their happy ending blah-blah-blah-it's-too-short.

Okayy, the extra scene at here at Abby Gaines' website placated me, just a little.

And I actually miss reading about those NASCAR stuff.

Wow.

Near the end is just heartwrenching. Dammit.

*Spoiler* You know the part where Emeline and Samuel just accepted that they can't be together? It's so emotional. :( Not a feeling you want to end a romance novel with. I thought the writing is really fantastic. *End Spoiler*

Have I mentioned that this book is hot? Loved those kisses.

Oh, Rebecca and O'Hare is cute. Hope to read more. The first part about Rebecca not remembering his name but remembered his eye colour is soooo ☺.

And the fairytale told at the start of each chapter. It's like a great big bonus. You get two stories for the price of one. (Or is Emeline & Samuel the bonus? Hm.)

I can't wait to read Vale and Melisande's story, which is next (To Seduce a Sinner) in this series. I'm so on the Vale wagon now.

Talking about this whole series, there's a mystery in it which, gets me. But then I have to remember that there're FOUR damn books in this serie, and I was like, what? Don't tell me there's no conclusion to this mystery in this FIRST book! Curiousity kills the cat ya know! Argh.

But actually the ending kinda soothed me. I'm not so obessed with the mystery now, as I was at the beginning. I think I can wait the time taken to read three more awesome books. And hot ones, no doubt about it. ♥

I feel like I need to read a book by Abby Gaines every week.

To keep a smile on my face.

Those that I've read are funny, cute, with smart-ass conversations.

They're heart-warming, with just the right amount of emotional draining. Not too much.

So I thought it's suitable for every-week-reading.

Here are some of my favourite parts of The Diaper Diaries :

The part where Tyler couldn't tell which baby is Ben? AHAHAHAHA.

The part where Tyler is so tired that he didn't notice that Bethany gave him the signal? AHAHAHAHA.

The part where Tyler realised that Bethany did indeed gave him the signal? AHAHAHAHA.

The part where Tyler unconsiously cuddles Ben? AWWWW.

The part where Tyler stood up for Bethany in front of her parents? ♥☺

The part where Tyler busted the fake mother? ♥☺

Tyler being around Bethany is just too cute. ☺

But I had wanted more Tyler & Ben & Bethany time. Seems like not enough.

You know, my tears flowed big time when the Ice Princess asked for the heart of a good man.

*Spoilers...

Then that good soldier kissed her and she's freed, and my tears just continued flowing.

And they lived happily ever after? Not yet, just one more thing.

The princess just had to think that the good soldier will leave her then, and she'd be truly alone. (Since her now thawed companions left too...)

Thinking about being alone in a romance novel is so sad. :(

But of course he corrected her, and THEN they lived happily ever after.

What a nice fairy tale with a little climax there. ♥

As for the actual hero and heroine of this novella?

All the damn time while reading it, I was thinking that this should so not be a novella.

Coral and Issac deserved more pages. This should a whole novel!

And perhaps Anna and Edward could make an appearance.

I'm just kinda pissed as I didn't get enough of Coral and Issac, because I've so enjoyed the other three full length books in the Princes Trilogy.

Sigh.

Okayy, that reunion kiss at end kinda makes up for everything. And the kiss on the Challenger.

But still it could be longer. Like, not be a novella.

And like, have more reunion kisses. :P

Just finished reading Fully Engaged by Abby Gaines.

I love it!

Those moments when Gideon was thinking of kissing Sandra, or grabbing her and wanting to kiss her, is just too cute.

I love it that they didn't deny their attraction to each other.

Gideon and Sandra work together, and I was expecting the no-you're-my-boss-this-has-to-stop thing, but I'm soo glad there're none.

They acted on the attraction early in the story, and it's just so cute sometimes.

Six-foot-four gorilla... Krispy Kreme...

Damn I love it when they're together.

I just LOVE how Sandra thinks. About donating Will's carcass to the Zoo; about Gideon being locked up and used to re-populate Earth, blah-blah.

And the ending is just wow. Gideon's willingness to take care of Sandra is soo I-WANT.

Plus, there's even more to read about after the ending at Abby Gaines' website here.

I've been really liking those short one hour or so stories.

Layover by Megan Hart works for me.

I love the build up.

It's just boomz (heh) for me when they reach the bedroom.

I'm really glad I got to read Graham's third person!

I like how that guy thinks.

Well, even if this story is just plainly from the heroine's view, it wouldn't lessen my enjoyment of it.

It would just make Graham more mysterious.

Like Lane DeMarco from This Is What I Want, which I read some time ago. (Love it too!)

I just love Lane's little hints that he's the mystery online admirer of Eve's.

Man, the ending is just satisfying.

I still love my 'happily-ever-after's more, but 'happy-for-now' works nicely too.

Only if it's by certain authors.

And just by reading the first few lines of Back on Track, I got, back on track (heh).

I love how Trent stood up for Kelly when she's being bullied by her own family.

I love how Kelly protected (haha!) Trent (the best man) from the maid of honor.

I love it when they played chess together.

I never thought it's hazardous to wear earrings while playing chess. (Ouch.)

And I especially love it when Trent is acting like a jealous kid when his brother (Chad) gave Kelly a friendly hug.

That is sooo cute.

Just finished Lora Leigh's story, A Christmas Kiss (from the anthology Hot for the Holidays).

It's my first Lora Leigh read.

I knew there are already many books in this Breeds serie, and from many reviews that I've came across, Lora Leigh write hot books.

A Christmas Kiss is reeally hot. ♥

(The previous sentence does not do the book justice.)

I love those "mine" & "my mate" thingy. Miss reading about heroes growling them out.

If the other Breeds are anything like Hawke, or more, I would love them all.

And want all of them.

They're so intense! ♥

I would look out for other books in this serie, but honestly, it's daunting to seek out... the other 19 stories. Plus one coming out in April.

February hadn't been a great reading month for me, with the Chinese New Year and new video games blah blah blah.

Even with the arrival of some books which I ordered, I still haven't got much reading mood.

Until The Virgin's Secret arrived.

A book by Abby Green .

And then OMG I suddenly want to jump into my comfy clothes and find a comfy spot on my comfy bed and just READ IT.

Which did happen in about thirty minutes later. ☺

Wow Leo. Typical uber cynical hero.

But it's ok, you make it up to Angel at the ending. And after marriage I hell bet. Of course you went to a dark place after Angel left. Hope you suffer bad. I had hoped that you stalked Angel too, and...

Anyway.

I'm really, really surprised by the significant appearance of Ari and Lucy (from Ruthless Greek Boss, Secretary Mistress). Love!

I love that Lucy's butterfly necklace meant something in this book too. The scenes starring that necklace back in Ruthless Greek Boss, Secretary Mistress was my absolute favourite parts.

And a little warning that I'm repeating myself, I love Abby Green's endings. Love love love love love.

It never left me feeling unsatisfied or needing more.

Just perfect.

Can't wait for the next one.

Finished Angela Knight's Vampire's Ball this morning. It's from the anthology Hot for the Holidays.

It's too short. Too darn short.

Toooo short.

The hotness of Ridge makes up for it, a little.

Still, arrrggh.

I'm glad to see Lancelot and Grace though.

But I want to learn more about Ridge. Darn novellas.

Just hope that in future books we'll get to see more of Ridge and Kat.

Though short, it's still very steamy. ☺

Mike is such a sweet man.

The Mike from Lisa Plumley's Making Over Mike.

I love it that, the reason he does this make over thingy, is Amanda.

And continues to endure it, all for Amanda.

Even when he's heartbroken (misunderstandings... meh), he still does not walk out on her.

Sigh.

When we first meet Mike, we know that he lost his job, is temprary a taxi driver, still going for interviews, and is a slob. Wow. Not a Harlequin Billionaire/CEO/Tycoon/Prince.

Dunno 'bout u, but I was actually excited about the fact that he's not successful (yet).

My first impression is, what a normal guy. I would like to read about a normal guy.

So, I like Mike. Instantly.

Love how he feels about Amanda, how he looks at Amanda.

And love it when he's with Amanda. Can't get much of it.

It's really cute. Cutecutecute.

^ The way they seem to be fishing for evidence that they approve of what each other did, how they look. Evidence that maybe that the other might just love him/her.

Just finished reading Galahad's story, simply titled Galahad, by Angela Knight (from the anthology Bite).

It is too short.

Too darn short.

Not enough Galahad.

I wish there were more pages, more instances where Galahad and Caroline show their feelings for each other.

Overall it's just too short.

The greatness is overflowing.

But mostly it's (hot) love-making, so I'm not complaining.

The pool scene? ♥ HAWT ♥

And what goat incident with Morgana? Did I miss anything?

I like Soren's appearance.

^ He makes Galahad jealous. And I loove a jealous man. ♥

So, after eight Mageverse stories, being a Maja seems really cool. But reading Caroline's point of view, her life seems to suck (at the begining I mean). No one tell her she needs to donate her blood? Everyone just left her at risk of bursting an artery? WTF. Okay, maybe everyone forsees that Galahad is going help her on that, but I still agree with you Galahad, somebody needs to be spanked. I feel angry for Caroline. For her newbie life of a witch, at a lost on how to tell her mortal family, and how she comes into it. I hope someone go bash Dominic. Deform his pretty face (aren't they all) permanently or something.

Fairies are like, tiny and cute.

But Llyr is nothing like that.

Not when he "roared in fury" when Diana was attacked.

Not when he roared again, "The next man who touches her dies!"

That has got to be my favourite scene.

No, wait.

Possibly what makes him WIN is that, in his grandmother's words "(He'd) give up (his) crown for a handful of years with a rapidly aging mortal."

Llyr is immortal FYI.

I finished reading Master of the Night by Angela Knight.

OMG Reece! Reece! REEEEEECE! (Llyr!)

I mentioned before that I read this serie in the wrong order. I don't recommend doing that, because it's kinda confusing if you're trying to follow the background story.

I've never doubted that Master of the Night is going to rock my world as usual with the other Mageverse books, but what suprised me is the hotness of Llyr.

I met Llyr already in Master of the Dragons (since I didn't read the serie in order), and there he already has his happy ending. I can't remember him being that hot.

Back to Reece.

I love it when he is helping Erin control her new powers.

I love how he calms her, how his soothing presence in her mind saves her from insanity (and from the possibility of wiping out Mageverse I should add). So sweet. ♥

And I also love that Reece founded a company to take care of his decendents. What a family man. ♥

I still think back to the time when I randomly picked Hot Blooded off the bookself in a bookshop and just bought it without much consideration because I was sooo bored at the time.

Till now I'm still darn about that day.

Talking about The Serpent Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt.

Simon Iddesleigh. Uncle Sigh to his niece because the Nanny says all ladies sigh over him.

I love how he proposes to Lucy. It's so desperate. He's so desperate. For Lucy.

I love how he asked (begged?) lucy to swear not to leave him.

He cries!

Though I'm not a fan of kissing when one is very bloody.

I admire how Lucy ignores all these bloody business and how she loves Iddesleigh.

And this book is dark.

You know, most heroes, when they knew they're bringing danger to their loves, they would simply leave them. Pronto. Stupid I say. I hate it when heroes leave the heroine for this reason. It makes the next few pages/chapters really boring. I prefer reading about them together all the damn time.

But Iddesleigh didn't leave Lucy. He kept her. ♥♥

I thought that when Temple finally accepts Diana, it's like, he had it too easy. Diana is too nice.

Am talking about Stealing the Bride by Elizabeth Boyle.

No I'm not finished with the book, but I want to rant.

I can't wrap my mind around why I like Temple so damn much. I'm not into heroes who pushes the heroine away, and that the heroine has to do all the work.

But I suppose Temple is kinda different.

I think if Diana really is getting married to someone else (before all this bride for Napolee thingy hooha), Temple will do something about it. Or find some excuse to do something about it.

Temple! What's his name?

Oh oh- the part when he was holding his father's book of poems, and it just soothes him without having to read it? That was how I feel, holding a favourite romance novel in my hands.

And afterwards when Temple was telling Diana about his parents? Sweet.

The part where we get to read about how young Diana and Temple met, made me think of Wicked by Jill Barnett. I miss Sophia and Sir Tobin de Clare.

Just saw the cover for Abby Green's March 2010 book, The Virgin's Secret. The heroine looks asian.

OH yesterday I went to a used-book shop. At the Harlequin section, I dug out all the Abby Green books (3 copies of Ruthlessly Bedded, Forcibly Wedded) and placed them on top of other books.

I also noticed that that used-book shop carries quite a number of really, really, really ancient (I think) Harlequin books.

Any ancient Harlequin books to recommend?

I'm currently reading Temple & Diana's story (Stealing the Bride by Elizabeth Boyle).

I'm not looking forward to reading about getting in cross-fires and being chased by the French, but the ~~ton~~ ~~Elto~~n ~~Diana~~ Temple is so interesting! Must-read-on.

Plus, he's crazy and I want to slap him. Many times.

I don't know if I have the Diana's patience. Wait 10 years (and maybe more) for a man? She's lucky she's living in a romance novel.

I suppose Sedgwick continues to call Emmaline, Emmaline? I had hoped he calls her Button instead. It sounds cute.

I'm so glad I had the effing mood to continue reading this book for the past two days. Argh I love it.

I want to read Templeton's next! I don't know what to make of him. He seems kinda weird.

Have I mentioned that I love reader's guide? Like this on Elizabeth Boyle's website? Questions that make readers think? It's like taking Literature exam.

You know, I wanted to punch Emmaline when she didn't encourage Miss Mabberly to say to hell with the wedding.

When Sedgwick decides to marry Emmaline for real? ☺

Last weekend when I figured I have the 10 hours or so I need to read a book, I dropped Something about Emmaline and buried myself in The Kouros Marriage Revenge, like there's no tomorrow (or chocolate). I feel so bad about this. Not that Something about Emmaline does not catch my interest, I just need an Abby Green fix.

When is Deep Kiss of Winter gonna be in paperback? Because the only author whose hardcover I'm ever willing to buy is David Edding's. And I'm not considering other authors anytime soon. Not even for (yes I'm certified CRAzY) an alpha male of my very own.

To me, you can't just spare an hour a day to read. I need...10 hours straight for it. Maybe 7-8 hours to read and then the remaining hours thinking about it. Or maybe more.

But currently that's all I have. An hour, actually half an hour or so a day, for reading.

I tried reading Something about Emmaline by Elizabeth Boyle in those hour / half-hours. Nope not working. The story seems cute from the start, it's meant to be read in one shot. Hell most books are.

Really. That part where Dante asked Zoey where she goes on a date, and then when Zoey goes on on how you can figure a guy out if you go on a date with him at the museum. Seriously cute.

I wasn't actually looking for some suspense story to read, but still I picked up for the love of pete because I'm super curious: does Julia Harper write like Elizabeth Hoyt? Yea imo. Because I so love those conversations. ☺

I read The Leopard Prince last weekend accompanied by the flu and sore throat. Lots-of-non-stop-coughing stopped by and stayed too.

I tell myself I'm not doing a book justice if I read it when I'm sick. But-

The point of this post is to say, I wasn't in my best reading mood, and yet I still continued reading The Leopard Prince, and still enjoyed it a whole damn lot. Thank you Elizabeth Hoyt. You're gooood.

Mistress to the Merciless Millionaire - Read :)

In super brief, the hero rejected and humiliated the heroine ten years ago, and a tense ten years have past, so now they get their happy ending with each other. I'm not exactly a big fan of these types of story lines (people who parted years ago on a bad note, now coming together etc). I personally prefer to read every other type. But I still have to read Mistress to the Merciless Millionaire because 1) it's by Abby Green, 2) it stars the uber alpha brother of Sorcha (heroine from Bought for the Frenchman's Pleasure). His little appearance in that book just rocks my world. ☺

Type of story aside, I still love the ending to hell ♥. Lots of talking and clarification involved, so that I wasn't left hanging thinking 'hey what about that part where (blah-blah-blah), shouldn't you apologise for that too?'. Satisfaction is always guaranteed for me when reaching the end of an Abby Green book, no matter the theme.

I sorta wished to see more of Sorcha and Romain (from Bought for the Frenchman's Pleasure), but then from reading Abby Green's previous books, secondary characters aren't everywhere. Whenever they're mentioned, they probably last less than a page. That's another reason why I love her books. Everything, every page is always about the main couple. You just learn so darn much about them. Secondary romances are probably more suitable to be in books with 400 pages, so yeah this is not a new discovery I know.

When Kate (the heroine) knits, I was suddenly reminded that I have three Christine Ridgway books in my TBR pile. Poor pile.

Now, I do not have much Abby Green backlist left to read. So Ms Green, please write faster. ☺

Whywhywhy do I have to read this book on a weekday?

Ending is kinda abrupt for me. I want more. The next book?

The Raven Prince is actually my second historical read for this year. Gosh, what happen between me and historicals? I love them so much when I first discovered romance novels. But then I prefer medievals. Hard to find really goods ones though... Jill Barnett destroyed all other medieval romances for me.

Back to the book: Poor, poor Edward when *spoiler?* Anna left him (albeit temporary). Though I like how Iddesleigh came to "rescue" him from his self-pity, I do wish Edward gets to wallow in self-pity longer. I love reading about his thoughts of him & Anna ♥. But it's just me.

Thank you bloggers in Romancelandia for mentioning/reviewing The Raven Prince until I took enough notice of it to try it for no good enough reason. I'm about three-quarter through The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt. Whao.

I LOVE Anna and Edward, LOVE them. LOVE their "arguments". And yes, they're pretty flaming in bed :)

Favorite part so far? I have too many favorite parts. I love it the most when Edward and Anna are together. When they first met (how the book started), their moments with the dog, when Edward got rose bushes for Anna, when Edward agrees to go the soiree because of Anna, when Edward blah-blah-blah for Anna... every part with the two of them together. Really ♥. I thought the book was going downhill for me when Edward first goes to London (*gasp* alone! Are they gonna be separated for the rest of the story?). But luckily Anna caught up pretty quick. And my enjoyment had been all the way up there so far.

I enjoyed the many times when Edward says *maybe spoiler?* that they (he and Anna) are getting married. I love it when he (kinda) works for it, keeps mentioning it, and Anna kept saying no. I think it's cute☺.

I finished reading The Spaniard's Marriage Bargain, and *sigh*. I so love the making up at the end. The conversations. The hero's/heroine's apology/grovelling speech just awes me. It' so elaborate. You know, like it completely explains everything, why they felt this way, why this, why that, when, how, blah... wow. It's not just "I'm sorry, pls forgive me, I love you, marry me." It's oh-so-much MORE. The character just completely opens up. Wow really. Really wow. Makes me feel very satisfied. Very.

I want her next book please.

Hard As Nails - Yay finished the book. Love every conversation. It just makes you want to read on and on and on. The wit can just go on and on and on... and Cole's story is my fav. I fell in love with it since the word "sledgehammer".

Not that I've read a lot of younger men with older women stories (and not that I'm always looking for those kinds), but there are just some authors who just can write and make you enjoy those themes/whatever that you don't really care about.

Just ordered Mistress to the Merciless Millionaire by Abby Green ♥. Go buy a copy too.

I loove Mary McBride's Baby, Baby, Baby. I can't stop thinking about the arctic white part. That was when I knew for SURE I was going to enjoy the rest of the book.

When I was reading the first page of Bought for the Frenchman's Pleasure, all I can think about it that I couldn't WAIT to get to the end. Sorry for the repetition, but I really love Abby Green's endings, and everything that leads to it. ♥

*Spoilers* What's so great about this ending? The running! Love it when Sorcha runs after Romain who is driving away after she sort of rejected him. Not only that, I love the revelation later Romain had meant to go back and make Sorcha see that she love him. Hee! Love it. *End Spoilers*

And thus, *repetition warning* I really want to read another Abby Green book. I hope she writes fast. Really fast.

Just finished Linda Goodnight's The Snow-Kissed Bride. I really liked how John thinks. Especially when Melody was brushing dirt from her bottom. ☺

I definitely love how John and Melody gradually fall in love with each other. (Sigh.) Totally enjoyed this book. It's one of those small doses of extreme emotional type of read for me. ♥

I'm so glad Harlequin offered one of her books for free for their 60th anniversary. If not, I don't know how long would it take for me to discover her, if I ever was meant to.

It's really hard to find authors that write just the right things that you like.

My usual Rant: I love the story, every page is so emotionally charged, the ending never fails to make me cry, and I'm totally satisfied when I reached the end. I don't need to read more of the story. It's VERY satisfying. I just need more, like in the form of another story. Oh I love it when Caleb said "I love you" (when don't I?) *re-reads that part*. Wow. I love reading romance so much.

Gawd I love Abby Green's ending speeches. Or grovelling speeches, making-up speeches whatever you call them. They're so looong, never draggy, and just so damn satisfying. The stories just ties up very, very well at the end. For me. It didn't make me frustrated that I needed more from the characters, the stories.

Eh, I do need more, another book like this please. ☺

You know when it comes to reading romance, I never really liked it when the heroes think to love is to let go. I'm like, oh com'on go chase after the girl already, stop trying to be a saint or what, the girl loves it if you chase her. But in Abby Green's books, like this Ruthless Bedded, Forcibly Wedded, which I just finished, it just feels so right to let the heroine go and have her come back to him. The little short scene when Cara finds Vincenzo in his room? Wow. Bloodshot eyes? I wish all heroes have that.

Gawd I love everything about this book, every moment is so emotional. Right from page one. That's why when I start I couldn't put it down, and even after I finish, it will be stuck in my mind.

Love it.

I have another autographed book by Abby Green, and I'll only reveal it the next time I read it heheh.

Have I mentioned before that Abby Green's stories are so my type of books? Really can't say how much I love them.

In Chosen As The Frenchman's Bride, it's like I can feel what Xavier and Jane are feeling. The writing really make me seem to be able to feel those moments, their emotions. They may hide their feelings from each other, but definitely not from me. I feel that I know too much sometimes :p Really, it was an emotional ride for me, from the moment they bump into each other. And the ending is just wow (too). They didn't just made up just by saying "I love you." That conversation at the end (and prior to the end), just makes my tear flow non-stop... ho boy.

Love it!

Really, I couldn't decide which Abby Green book to try next, so I read something from Abby Gaines instead. NASCAR!

Not a big fan, but I do like cars and speed. Teaming Up may have a NASCAR theme, but it didn't overshadow the romance in the book. Not one bit. I don't even have to be crazy about NASCAR to love this.

My first NASCAR is The Natural, also by Abby Gaines, and it's still free on Books on Board. The hero Danny is mentioned in Teaming Up (I smile when I read his name heehee). The stories are not connected, but they're still in the same world.

The Natural left quite an impression on me, so I was expecting quite alot from Teaming Up. Luckily it definitely didn't disappoint. ♥ About two-thirds into the story, I realized that the physical appearance of the heroine (sexy long legs, curvy body etc.) wasn't mentioned much. Maybe once or twice, or three times only. To Wade, it's never about Kim's boobs (maybe only at the beginning), it's all about her brains (heh). I absolutely love reading their interaction. Love the fact that they didn't deny and keep lying to themselves. Well, not much. Towards za ending? I cried of course. Awww Wade, the tatoo thing is just too cute.

I'm glad I'm been reading great stories lately. Stories that are just what I want to read.

And I just hate thinking about which book I should try next.

I just finished my second Abby Green Harlequin, and bingo. I conclude that she writes just what I love to read. ♥ I am sooo lucky.

* Maybe spoilers. *

I totally love Dante's grovelling speech at the end. (Mandorallen suddenly comes to mind, I think I just miss him.) I like Alicia's little speech too when she decided to end their "relationship". I mean wow, the heart wants what the heart wants. It gets to me.

Sigh. The whole story is just emotional. For me, it's like smaller dose of those extreme emotional reads (ala Christie Ridgway / Pamela Morsi for me). I can take small emotional doses anytime. But I stay away from extreme ones (for now).

I also love it that there's a "Three and a half years later" thing. I have a thing for epilogues indicating how many babies they had (two right?). Ooh right when I reach the end, I was immediately thinking about which book of hers should I read next. Sigh.
